Interim Party Leader
I would personally like to reduce MPP wages by 15% or more since Northerners can’t afford to pay high salaries for the MPP. If I can’t reduce the wages I will personally give 15% or more of my pay to multiple organizations such as fire dept, hospital foundations, services clubs, etc… That will benefit directly to the communities they serve.
Northern Ontario is home, so let’s stand up for ourselves.
Shawn was born in Kirkland Lake. He grew up there until the age of 7. His parents then relocated to Dymond Township, which became part of Temiskaming Shores in 2004.
Shawn did all his schooling in French, including college (Collège Boréal, New Liskeard & Sudbury).
He is a true Northerner. He studied Law and Security (Class of 1997). He married his college sweet heart in May 1998. He became a Truck Driver in 2001. His multiple jobs in the transportation industry took him to a variety of places across Canada and the USA.
Shawn and his wife have 2 children together, a son and daughter. The family also includes a dog and a cat. They have raised their family in New Liskeard for 12.5 years before moving 20 minutes away to North Cobalt in 2011.
In 2019, Shawn was designated Interim Leader when the previous leader, Trevor Holliday, resigned in an effort to help the party continue to move forward, with a leader fluent in both English & French.
