Ex-Officio (Past Party Leader) | Interim Vice-President
Riding: Nipissing

Born and raised in the Nipissing District, Trevor Holliday comes from a legacy of service in Northern Ontario. His grandfather founded Road Runner Express, a courier company based in North Bay that operated for over 30 years, delivering to even the most remote regions others would not. The business was deeply family-run, and Trevor spent much of his youth alongside his father, John Holliday, learning the value of treating every customer like family.

Following the sale of the company after his grandfather’s passing, Trevor pursued a career in service and customer-focused industries. He is a graduate of the Police Foundations program at Canadore College in North Bay and is currently employed as a motor coach operator for Ontario Northland—bringing him full circle to serving the people of Northern Ontario.

A father of five, Trevor is deeply committed to creating a prosperous future in the North, not just for his own children, but for generations to come. His passion for the region runs deep, fueling a lifelong commitment to advocating for stronger representation and autonomy for Northern Ontarians.

In January 2016, Trevor launched a petition to make Northern Ontario its own province, gathering over 4,500 signatures. This effort led him to connect with Party Founder Edward Deibel and eventually join the Northern Ontario Heritage Party (NOHP). Upon Edward’s retirement, Trevor was appointed as Party Leader, where he helped re-establish the party under its new name: the Northern Ontario Party (NOP).

Under his leadership, the party ran 10 candidates in the 2018 Provincial Election, earning 1.65% of the popular vote across Northern Ontario—a major milestone in the party’s journey to becoming a serious political voice in the region.

In 2019, Trevor stepped down as Party Leader to make way for bilingual leadership—recognizing the importance of representing both anglophone and francophone communities across the North. He continues to serve the party as a Director and currently holds the position of Interim Vice-President.

Trevor remains a driving force in the NOP’s mission to strengthen Northern Ontario’s voice and advocate for meaningful change.
